Know your mythology

Age of Mythology is a third person multiplayer game for the PC. It is based off the Age of Empires series but with a mythical basis. You start out by choosing if you want to follow the Greek, Norse or Egyptian gods. There are advantages to each culture. Greeks have strong infantry and heroes that you can use in battle. When you start you get three villagers, a scout and a few towers placed around the Town Center. Egyptians don't need wood to build but the villages work slower. They start out with three villagers, a Pharaoh and a Priest as well as a few towers. The Norse are good at building a huge army quickly. Norse players start out with An Ulfsark, Ox Cart, and two Gatherers unless you start under Thor in which case you get dwarfs instead of Gatherers. You then choose one of the three major gods of the religion you practice. When the game starts you then spawn on a map but you're only able to see a small portion of the map. You then work to gather resources to create buildings and armies. You strive to rise through the ranks and beat your opponent. When you rise to the next rank you must choose a minor god to follow. the minor god sill provide a god power and a bonus to your army but you cant change your mind so choose wisely. You can win in one of two ways. The first way is to destroy everything your opponent has built. The second way is to build a wonder. To build a wonder you must get lots of materials, wait for construction to be complete and protect it for five minutes. This can be very hard but if you have defensive units it can be the better choice. You can also play single player against a computer opponent. For these matches there are a few cheats you can use. IF you get bored with the normal game you can get the titan expansion pack which adds in two major things. the first is that you will be able use the titan culture. The major thing though is that you will be able to summon a titan during the game. Titans are really powerful and expensive but not unbeatable. You have to be careful because you can only summon one per game.
